Comprising more than fifteen remarkable neighborhoods, the Lake Highlands area of Northeast Dallas, Texas, is a lovely place to call home. Lake Highlands encompasses the impressive neighborhoods of Woodlands on the Creek, Urban Reserve, Town Creek, Oak Highlands, Merriman Park North, L Streets, Highland Meadows, and Alexander’s Village, among several others. While the community is not an official subdivision, it is typically thought to comprise most of Dallas City Council District Ten in the 75243, 75238, and 75231 zip codes.
 
With a fantastic location east of White Rock Creek and north of Northwest Highway and White Rock Lake, Lake Highlands is a family-friendly community primarily served by the Richardson Independent School District. There is a small portion of the community within the boundaries of the Dallas Independent School District as well. School-aged residents of Lake Highlands are served by White Rock Elementary, Skyview Elementary, Moss Haven, Lake Highlands, Elementary, Forestridge Elementary, Hamilton Park Pacesetter Elementary, and Akin Elementary, among others. Liberty Junior High, Lake Highlands Junior High, and Forest Meadow Junior High serve the tweens in the community, and high school students attend Lake Highlands Freshman Center before moving on to Lake Highlands High School.
 
In addition to its family-friendliness, Lake Highlands also offers easy access to the fabulous dining and shopping found at Lake Highlands Town Center, Galleria Dallas, and Northpark Center.
